Chateau de Pierrefonds

This is one of my favorite places in France. The village of Pierrefonds is about an hour north of the airport. I often stay in a small inn here either the first night after arriving in France, or my last night before going home.
It's peaceful and overlooked by American tourists, although you may see an occasional British or Belgian tour bus.
