After the Chicken Coop Burned Kids playing with fire burned the chicken coop down. <br />This chicken coop was located where the humble cabin home was in Teton City, Idaho. Vern had bought Glenn 50 baby chickens to raise for his FFA project. <br />At the time, Glenn was working for Arnold Bingham. He picked up the St. Anthony newspaper and was surprised when he saw an article about Vern Ashcraft's chicken coop burning down.

Samuel Ashcraft's Home Brigham Heber Bingham, Jr built this house for his wife Catharine Rozella Wilson and family, located on Wilson Lane in Ogden, Utah. Their daughter Verna was the first child born in this house, before BH went on his mission to Australia in 1900. The white part was added years later by other owners. Home in Moody This is the house Don was born in. Vern, Verna and their family lived here for awhile. This is the house they were living in when the Cleve Ashcraft family visited them.<br /><br />This is the home where Kathryn burned the chicken coop down.
Humble Home The Ashcraft's humble cabin home in Teton. They moved this part of their Moody home to Teton, so it would be easier for the children to go to school.<br /><br />Don tells how he was at school one day, he looked out the window, there was his home going down the road. He didn't know they were going to move part of the Moody house to Teton.<br /><br />Grant said, that the kitchen part of the home was taken back to Moody after they moved into the "Archibald" home. Grandpa and some of the kids stayed in that part of the house for a day or two when they were working on the farm. <br />Grant tore down the part they didn't take to Moody. He piled the lumber up, but it was never used.

She and needed someone to ride with her to California.<br /><br />I flew to Indianapolis, where Leanard Dobson and his wife Kathy, met me on Saturday. On Sunday, we went to church in Brownswood, a suburb of Indianapolis, then Leanard and I went to the Price family reunion for an hour.<br /><br />James A. Price, Helen Scot's 1st cousin, had invited me. (Their grandmother, Lavina Jane Strauser, Married James Hamilton Price.) When we left the reunion, Leanard took me to his parent's home. <br />Later, Alice took me to see the Burch's. It was located in Wilson Lane, west of Ogden, Utah.

Railroad Trestle Over Moody Creek In 1947 they tore down the trestle and replaced it with fill. They put a big metal pipe in the dirt-filled canyon to carry water under the railroad.<br /><br />This was 90 feet above the bottom of the Moody creek. One level was 30 feet, then next 60 feet. Some of the Ashcraft boys used to cross on the 30 and 60 feet boards. Glenn says that at first they would crawl across, then they got so they would walk acorss.
